SC VILLA CONDITIONALLY ADMITTED TO THE LEAGUE.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has granted Ugandan National League record champions Sports Club Villa a provisional license to play in the Star Times Uganda Premier League and all the other competitions under its mandate.

FUFA had directed the Uganda Premier League secretariat to scrap SC Villa off the 2021/2022 league fixture for failure to meet some of the requirements for a team to take part in the national league; and this was more centered on the club governance structure.

However, FUFA has issued a conditional and provisional club license and henceforth directed with immediate that SC Villa should be given leave to enter all its competitions including the 2021/2022 Star Times Uganda Premier League season where they have already missed the first two match days.

In a statement published by FUFA through www.fufa.co.ug, the license issued to SC Villa has terms and conditions that the club must fulfill in order to attain a permanent license.

Part of the statement reads:

“FUFA has now granted Sports Club Villa a conditional and provisional club license subject to the terms in the Club Congress resolutions presented to FUFA. However, FUFA shall withdraw immediately the provisional license in the event that the club fails to fulfill the resolutions against which the license has been issued.

Developments from the SC Villa Congress that was held on Saturday. 23rd. October. 2021 at Serena Hotel, Kigo resolved that Sports Club Villa shall undertake the election of the Club President and the entire Executive Board by Saturday 13th November 2021 in accordance with the Club Statutes that were approved by FUFA and its upon this background that they requested FUFA to grant them a provisional license.

Soon or later, SC Villa kicking the ball for the first time in the Star Times Uganda Premier League which is headed into match day three next week.
