FUFA SETS TERMS  FOR SC VILLA’S RETURN TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE.

Federation of Uganda Football Association(s) (FUFA) have written to Sports Club Villa through the FUFA Club Licensing Committee giving SC Villa a number of conditions they are supposed to meet before they are re-admitted to the Star Times Uganda Premier League.

SC Villa were scraped off the fixture because they had wanting issues with their governance structure and according to FUFA, SC Villa have been tasked to submit a compliance plan to all the set conditions if they are to receive a provisional license for the 2021/2022 season that is already under way.

Some of the conditions given to SC Villa include among others; hand in the new CEO’s contract to FUFA as per the club licensing regulations, hold Elections by November 12th. 2021 and Pay players and officials’ arrears.

Muhammad Bazirengedde has replaced Brenda Nambalirwa Kawuma in the position of CEO.

Upon SC Villa committing its self to the above terms, a provisional license will then be issued to them.

SC Villa’s removal off the fixture came as a result of the Club’s Trustees Board firing CEO Shawn Mubiru and replacing him with Brenda Nambalirwa Kawuma who has since been banned by FUFA for taking football matters into court and this was in relation to the SC Villa elections.

Meanwhile, SC Villa is set to have an extra-ordinary meeting of the paid-up club congress members at Serena Hotel in Kigo on Saturday. 23rd. October.2021 to deliberate  on the way forward.

The conditions in details:

  1. Sports Club Villa shall hold elections of the Club President and the Executive Board within three (3) weeks from the date of this letter but in any case, not later than 1700 Hours on Saturday 13th November 2021. The said election shall have to be organised
    in accordance with the Sports Club Villa Statutes that were approved by FUFA on 19th July 2021.
  2. Documentary evidence is submitted in compliance with article 37 of the Sports Club Villa Statutes not later than 1700 Hours on Saturday 13th November 2021.
  3. Sports Club Villa settles all the outstanding dues of the former employees (players, technical and administrative staff) not later than 1700 Hours on Saturday 13th November 2021.
  4. Sports Club Villa submits the payment plan for all the outstanding dues of the current employees (players, technical and administrative staff) not later than 1700 Hours on Saturday 13th November 2021.
  5. Sports Club Villa should submit a duly signed employment contract of their Club CEO with immediate effect (the earlier submitted did not have a signatory from the club).
  6. An acceptance to compliance of the terms herein is formally communicated back to
    FUFA by 1700 Hours on Thursday 21st October 2021.
  7. An evaluation of compliance to the above-mentioned terms shall be conducted by the
    FCLC on Friday 22nd October 2021. In event of non-compliance, Sports Club Villa will continue to be excluded from the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League fixtures. In event of Compliance, a provisional Club License shall be immediately issued to Sports Club Villa to play in the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League Season and UPL Board and Secretariat shall be immediately required to issue fixtures including matches of Sports Club Villa
  8. An evaluation of compliance to the above-mentioned terms shall be conducted by the
    FCLC on Sunday 14th November 2021. In event of non-compliance, Sports Club Villa shall be excluded from the 2021/22 Uganda Premier League Fixtures with immediate effect.

SC Villa under Head Coach Petros Koukouras upon return will play their home games at Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Wakiso.
