Atulinda spent over six years at KIU Rangers and helped the team to make a number of National Basketball League playoffs semifinals appearances before switching to JKL Dolphins in 2019 however she now makes a U-turn to the Kansanga based team.

While at JKL Dolphins, Atulinda was able to win the Women’s National Basketball League title in 2019 and it’s this winning touch and mentality that she brings as she returns to the place she calls home.

“I am happy to be back at a place I call home,” the forward is quoted in the KIU Rangers press release announcing her signing.

“I started my basketball career here after High School and it has to end here. I’m back to enjoy the game, I’m back home and it feels good,” she added.

KIU Rangers Head Coach Roger Sserunyigo is happy to have Atulinda back and he believes that she is the right person to fill up on what has been lacking in the team’s front court, going into the new season.

“Atulinda is a missing link filled in the area of the front court. There’s a lot of potential from
her to exploit,” Sserunyigo noted.

“She has a good mid-range shot, excellent at rebounding, and communicates efficiently,” Sserunyigo added.

Atulinda who was officially signed in 2015 joined KIU Rangers in 2010 as a student player but she was on and off the court because of education commitments.
