VIPERS SC RAIDS MBARARA CITY FC FOR IBRAHIM ORIT.
2019/2020 Star Times Uganda Premier League champions Vipers Sports Club have announced the signing of Ibrahim Orit from Mbarara City Football Club on a three-year contract subject to renewal after its expiration in June 2023.
Shortly after putting pen to paper at his new home, Orit expressed his delight of joining a go-getting club and promised to use the opportunity to grow and develop his career more.
“I‘m happy to be here as it has always been my dream to feature for this competitive club and when the coach called to express his interest, it wasn’t a hard decision to make” Orit remarked in an exclusive interview with the club website, www.viperssc.co.ug.
The forward who was a free agent having spent three seasons at Mbarara City FC scored four goals last season and in his remarks, he was very grateful to his former bosses for nurturing him into a very good product ready for bigger challenges.
“Allow me also to thank the Mbarara City administration for the wonderful time i have had with them and all fans for the love they showed throughout my stay at the club," said Orit.
Ibrahim Orit started his career at Junior Eagles football academy in North Eastern Uganda; from where he joined town Future Stars Football Team in the a regional league and finally got into the hands of Mbarara City in 2017.
At Vipers, Orit joins former Mbarara City teammate Paul Mucureezi who joined the Kitende based team last season and will be out to fight for a place in Coach Fred Kajoba’s side alongside Alla Kayiwa with whom they play the same position and style.
