Moses Mwase was appointed the new President of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) replacing Dr. Donald Rukare who left the federation to join National Council of Sports as the chairman replacing Bosco Onyik.

“During its extraordinary meeting held on Monday. 16th. March. 2020 at the USF Offices, the Uganda Swimming Federation Executive unanimously appointed Mr. Moses MWASE to the vacant position of USF President effective immediately,” reads an official statement from USF.

Mwase has been serving in the USF as the General Secretary under Dr. Donald Rukare. He will serve as the President for only this current term which expires in 2021.

At the same sitting, Albert Wasswa who was serving as the Assistant General Secretary was elevated to replace Mwase as the new General Secretary while Max Kanyerezi the  Competitions Secretary will as well work as the Assistant Secretary General till 2021.
