The new president of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) Moses Mwase has said he is keen on making swimming popular in most parts of the country.

Mwase told SportzNow that he will focus spreading the sport countrywide targeting any area that has a swimming facility for the start.

“The sport is so much urban-dominated because of lack of facilities. However we are going to make sure that we spread swimming to any area that has a swimming facility,” said Mwase.

“We are also focused on acquiring an aquatic centre and we shall continue knocking on government and private sector doors to see that we achieve this target soon."
 

The former general secretary was appointed the President of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) replacing Dr. Donald Rukare joined National Council of Sports as the chairperson.
