UGANDA CRANES SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT FOR WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS: MICHO NAMES PROVISIONAL LIST.

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Mulutin Micho Sredojevic has named a provisional squad for the remaining two FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifier Group E matches against Kenya and Mali.

The development came shortly after the Uganda had had a practice game with Star Times Uganda Premier League side UPDF Football Club on the evening of Sunday. 7th. November. 2021 at the St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

The Uganda Cranes team that played against UPDF FC was dominated by locally based players and a few foreign based players; Khalid Aucho, Moses Waiswa, Mathias Kigonya and Charles Lukwago.

The Cranes entered residential training at the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi on Friday and will continue with training on Monday. 8th. Novermber. 2021 at the MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo under the watchful eye of coach Micho and his assistant Moses Basena and goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba.

The Cranes will play regional rivals Kenya on Thursday. 11th. November before jetting out to Gambia where they will play against West African side Mali on Sunday. 14th. November. 2021.

Uganda Cranes needs to win both games in order to make it to the last qualification stage of just 2 legs; to book a place at the FIFA 2022 World Cup that will be hosted in Qatar.
