UGANDA CRANES GOALKEEPING COACH TAKES HIS KNOWLEDGE SHARING TOUR TO JINJA.

Uganda Cranes Goalkeeping Coach Fred Kajoba Kisitu embarked on a nationwide tour in a project aimed at sharing and equipping national goalkeepers with basic knowledge and skills in their line of duty.

Kajoba who kicked off his countrywide goal keeping technical guidance tour on Thursday. 09th. September with a visit to Wakiso Giants Football Club was next at new Star Times Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi Football Club in Jinja.

Kajoba Kisitu paid a courtesy visit to Gaddafi FC camp on Thursday 24th and Friday. 25th. September. 2021; taking park in the team’s training session and particularly the goal keeping department; the goal keepers who are his target in this initiative.

“I am happy to be here at Gaddafi FC for this special training session with the team goal keepers and their coach,” Kajoba said.

“I have found two goal keepers who are not only young but good too. I thank the club management for the hospitable environment. It is my desire to work with these youngsters and thus shape them into better goal keepers who are going be great additions to the national team(s) in future,” kajoba noted.

Kajoba is really committed to this calling and he had a word for the other clubs.

“To the other clubs in the Star Times Uganda Premier League, the Star Times Big League and the region League(s); am on my way,” he remarked.

“I thank FUFA for accepting and blessing this initiative. My dream is to start a goal keeping academy through which we shall produce the next Dennis Onyango(s).”

At Gaddafi, the Cranes goal keeping tactician was received by Edrine Ochieng, the club Chairman.

Kajoba is using his tours to share knowledge with the goal keepers, equipping them with the fundamentals of goal keeping in the move to improve this department in the country.

Some of the basic elements that Kajoba taking to the future Uganda Cranes stars during his tours include among others; decision making, confidence, command, positioning, footwork, ball skills and resilience that he believes should be the starting point for any goal keeper at club level.

Gaddafi FC are in high gear preparations ahead of their debut season in the Star Times Uganda Premier League that is expected to kick off on 15th. October. 2021.
