REGIONAL CLUB COACHES SHALL BE REQUIRED TO HOLD A CAF C COACHING LICENSE.

In the bid to develop and grow more technical human resource for the game of football in the country and thus make the game better, Federation of Uganda Football Associations _ FUFA through its capacity building program approved two CAF C coaching courses that kicked off on Monday. 4th. July; 2022 in Kampala Region and Westerner football regions in Kampala and Kabale respectively.

According to FUFA Region Development Officer of Kampala Region Frank Kakudu, they are targeting to set CAF C coaching license as the minimum qualification for one to coach in the regional league(s).

“We organized this course with the motive of gaining quality coaches in that we set CAF C as the minimum coaching requirement of our regional teams,” Frank Kakudu said.

“We expect to produce coaches that are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop our players and the game at large.

“We therefore had to put in place this course in order to prepare our coaches and teams in general to be able to meet the set standards that we expect to enroll out next season,” he added.

It will therefore be mandatory for all regional teams to employ only CAF C licensed coaches in the capacity of Head Coach.

The ongoing course which is under the tutorship of former Crested Cranes Star and Head Coach Majida Nantanda and CAF Coaches’ Instructor attracted 29 participants including one from Kenya and will officially come to an end on 4th. August.
