Kiwanuka joined the Red Eagles from KCCA Football Club in a switch of employers that shocked the football fraternity. He was confirmed in this position on Wednesday. 21st. October. 2020, joining Wasswa Bbosa who was Head Coach at the time.

“I am happy to have extended my contract with Express for another year,” Kiwanuka said.

“I have been here for a short time yet the goal keepers we have are still young; that inspired me to remain and improve them into the country’s next stars.

“The fans should expect the best performance from the goal keepers this season,” he noted.

Kiwanuka stepped in as the Express FC interim Assistant Coach deputizing James Odoch who had been elevated to the position of Head Coach on interim basis following the departure of Wasswa Bbosa in the second round of last season 2021/2022.
