NABADDA ON THE OFFICIALS’ ROSTER FOR MOROCCO WOMEN AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS.
Confederation of African Football _ CAF has appointed female Ugandan Centre referee Shamirah Nabadda as one of the officials to officiate at will the forthcoming Total Energies 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations that will be hosted in Morocco.
Nabadda will be making her historical maiden appearance at the biggest stage of African football in the women’s category together with other 15 centre referees.
The championship that will take place between 2nd.and 23rd. July 2022 in Rabat and Casablanca will be handled by a total of 40 match officials; 16 referees, 16 assistant referees and eight Video Assistant Referee (VAR) from 24 countries.
The appointed team is set to undergo a preparation training course in Rabat starting on June 25th. 2022.
In Morocco, the championship will be played for the first time with 12 teams divided in three groups of four teams each.
The past editions had only 8 teams.
