The Federation of Uganda Football Associations _ FUFA has approved the appointment of a FUFA Sub Committee to organize and lead the activities to mark and celebrate 100 years of FUFA.

The committee was appointed and passed by the 27th FUFA Executive Committee Meeting that was held on Wednesday. 31st. August. 2022 at FUFA House, Mengo.

The committee will be responsible for organizing events and activities to mark the upcoming Centenary of FUFA in 2024.

The approved committee consists of five members namely; Rogers Mulidwa, Sabiiti Muwanga, Ahmed Hussein and Eric Kifampa; under the leadership of FUFA Executive Committee member in charge of Marketing, Television and Sponsorships Rogers Byamukama as Chairperson.

FUFA, then Uganda Football Association  was founded in 1925 by a few sportsmen and Keen footballers who met to discuss the propagation of the game in Uganda which had been introduced in the country the missionaries.

In 1953, proper affiliation representation was introduced through the four provincial associations of Buganda, Eastern, Northern and Western and this was followed by District Associations and later on, teams in a particular province were affiliated to the Provincial Associations.

In 1962 a league was inaugurated and the very first affiliates of Uganda Football Association were the Government Departments and commercial houses.

FUFA was officially to the International Football Association now Federation of International Football Association _ FIFA and the Confederation of African Football _ CAF  in 1960.

The first home of UFA was at Nakivubo Stadium, Kampala.

Currently, FUFA has a home at FUFA House, Plot No. 879, Kyadondo Block 8, Mengo, Wakaliga Road.
