BEACH SOCCER QUALIFIERS: SAND CRANES CRUISE PAST COMOROS TO QUALIFY FOR AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS.

Uganda National Beach Soccer Team, the Sand Cranes will be at Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations for a second successive time after defeating Comoros 4-3 in a hard fought game on Sunday. 7th. August. 2022 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Sand Cranes' man of the day and eventually Man of the Match Nicholas Mwere was a tall stand out, scoring a hat trick; with Uganda's other goal coming through Brain Nkuubi.

The Sand Cranes started on a high scoring the first goal in the first minute of the game through Nkuubi and this gave them a commanding start going forward.

Uganda scored two more goals through Mwere in the first period of the game.

After the break, the Sand Cranes let their feet off the gas pedals giving away 3 goals for the visitors who scored through Moeva Chakira (2) Ismael Ahmed.

In the closing stages of the game, Mwere hit the target again to send the players and fans into frenzy.

It is this last hit that finally sealed Uganda qualification for the final tournament, qualifying with a 9-5 aggregate win.

The qualification means that Uganda will be at the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations for a second successive time having been at the last edition in Senegal.
