The Executive committee of Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) has announced that the 2020/2021 Beach Soccer League will kick-off on Saturday 21st November 2020.

The decision was reached and passed in unison during a consultative executive committee that was hosted at FUFA Complex Mengo.

The same meeting also approved the Uganda Beach Soccer Association 2020/2021 activity Calendar as well as the club licensing requirements that were proposed by Beach Soccer Competitions Committee.

In addition, the number of clubs to participate in the league was also confirmed. The Elite Beach Soccer League will be a maximum of twelve (12) and a minimum of five (5) clubs while  the Women Beach Soccer League will have a minimum of five (5) and maximum of eight (8) clubs.

The committee also used this opportunity to congratulate Uganda Beach Soccer Association UBSA Chairman, Deo Mutabazi and FUFA Football Development Director Ali Mwebe who were recently appointed to the Africa Beach Soccer Union as 1st Vice President and Technical and Development Committee member respectively.

Meanwhile the body’s ordinary General Assembly will be held on Saturday 26th September 2020 in Kampala.

Last season’s Beach Soccer League was cancelled and no winner was announced after the outbreak of the Covid-19 disease that brought a total shut down on sports activities.
