According to NCS General Secretary, Dr. Patrick Ogwel who admitted receiving the receipt of the petition from Okila on Tuesday. 2nd. February. 2021; OKila wants NCS to reverse the decision that was reached by the delegates at the Congress that sat on Sunday. 31st. January. 2021 at the National Hockey Grounds, Lugogo.

“We received the petition form Okila a former presidential aspirant in the last UVF elections,” Ogwel confirmed to www.sportznow.ug.

“We have forwarded it to the team desk for their guidance,” Ogwel added.

Eddie Okila was one of the three candidates who were vying for the position of UVF president but lost out to former president Sadik Nasiwu. Okila did not concede the loss and has now run to NCS for re-dress.

“I have petitioned NCS and asked them to nullify the Uganda Volleyball Federation 2021 elections results,” Okila told www.sportznow.ug.

“The irregularities were very many; from the list of affiliates/ delegates to Congress to the manner in which the election officers handled the whole process,” he added.

“Our elections did not follow the constitution of UVF and neither the procedure of how the elections are supposed to be handled,” Okila noted.
