RAJIV RUPARELIA WINS MAIDEN NATIONAL RALLY EVENT IN BUNYORO.

Rajiv Ruparelia was the last man standing as he carried the day, winning the Kabalega Rally with Co-driver Enoch Olinga in Bunyoro over the weekend.

Rajiv Ruparelia’s out of this world performance in VW Polo saw him win his first ever National Rally Champions and his win meant that the National Rally Championship  title will now be determined on the last day during the last event of the NRC series.

Rajiv Ruparelia finished number one on the podium 45 seconds ahead of team Duncan Mubiru and Musa Nsubuga after the sixth stage of the event.

Ronald Sebuguzi and Anthony Mugambwa came into the third position; Omar Mayanja and Hussein Mukuye finished fourth; Hassan Alwi and James Mwangi finished fifth while Fred Busulwa and Joseph Bongole finished sixth overall.

This was Sebuguzi’s first event locally this year.

The race for the National Rally Championship title is led by Ducan Mubiru but going into the last NRC event; the Jinja rally, he will face it hard from other challengers in the likes of Omar Mayanja and Hassan Alwi who are trailing him with 90 and 70 points respectively.

Now all eyes are set will on the Jinja Rally; the last and final NRC event that will determine the NRC Title Championship.

It is slated for 26th -28th November. 2021.
