REVEALED: ERIC NDIFUNA APPOINTED ODOCH’S ASSISTANT AT EXPRESS FC.
Express Football Club have appointed Eric Ndifuna as the new First Assistant coach to Head Coach James Odoch.
Ndifuna replaces Odoch who ascended to the position of Head Coach following the departure of Wasswa Bbosa late last season.
“I am happy that I have joined this great team with such a huge history,” Ndifuna told www.expressfc.co.ug
“It’s going to be a great development to my coaching career.
“As the technical team, we have set targets to see the club move forward and not only to perform but also to compete.
“We are giving too much focus onto the young generation as we look forward to build a strong side that will entertain, win and work around the club set goals and objectives,” Ndifuna added.
Ndifuna previously coached at UTODA in the 2011/2012 season; moved to Bazar SC in the 2013/2014 season and later moved to City Lads in the 2014/2016.
In 2018/2020, he worked with Bukavu Dawa, Simba FC and Tooro United Football Club and in 2021, he worked as Assistant Coach at Maroons Football Club.
As a player, Ndifuna played for Sharing Football Club in the 2008/2009 season. He helped the team to get promoted to the top flight, feature as a left back and it’s at this club that he started his coaching career as a Fitness Coach and later elevated to Head Coach in the 2010/2011 season.
