UGANDA CRANES LEARN FIFA 2026 WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS OPPONENTS.
Uganda men’s senior team will face opposition from Algeria, Guinea, Mozambique, Botswana and Somalia in their FIFA 2026 qualifying group.
The draw was made on Thursday 13th July at the sitting of the 45th CAF Congress in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and the Uganda Cranes were drawn in Group G.
A total of 54 countries have been drawn into nine groups, each composed of six teams with the winner of each group qualifying directly for the World Cup while the four best group runners-up will participate in play-offs to determine which team will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup 48 teams from the current 32 teams a consequence that will also see an increase in number of teams representing Africa; increasing from 5 to 9 and with a chance of even making it to 10.
The chance of a 10th representative isn’t automatic but can be gained from the intercontinental playoffs.
