Sumaya is national team left back holding the record for scoring Uganda's first goal in the ongoing 2022 WAFCON which she scored from a well swirled free kick against Morocco.

Her signing indicates an increase in the title contenders' squad depth especially with presence of Nabuufu Dorcus who featured in all games in the previous season.

"I always loved this team because of many aspects. Am glad to join Kampala Queens FC and promise to work harder along with my teammates so as we raise the team up to greater heights like winning FUFA Women Super League and the Champions League," Commented Sumayah.

Kampala Queens FC finished 2nd on table in the previous season 2021-2022 missing out on the championship on goal difference; just one goal behind the winners She Corporate FC.
