Match day 2 of the Star Times Uganda Premier 2023/ 2024 returned with thrilling encounters and unexpected outcomes that saw two of the three new entrants NEC Football Club and Kitara Football Club collect maximum points. 

Kicking off the match day at the St. Mary's Stadium Kitende, Vipers Sports Club proved their dominance by defeating Arua Hill Sports Club 2-0; showcasing their skillful gameplay and solid defense under the floodlights at on Thursday 21st.09 .2023. Vipers' goals were scored by Mulondo 14' and Lawal 32'.

The day after, 2022/2023 Star Times FUFA Big League Champions who are new in the Premier League managed a 1-0 victory over UPDF Football Club an own goal from UPDF FC's Kamagu in the thirty nine minutes of play on Friday 22nd.09.2023 in Masindi.

Meanwhile at the MTN Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, NEC Football who are debutants in the Premier League delivered an astonishing performance, crushing Busoga United Football Club with a resounding 5-0 win to climb  to the top of the log, leaving fans in awe of their offensive prowess. NECFC's goals were scored by Kavuma Martin (2), Okocha Rashid, Mugalu Allan and Brian Kayanja. 

URA Football Club bounced back from thier opening match day 1 draw, winning 2-0  against Gaddafi Football Club goals scored by Aliro 30' and Najib Fesali 50', granting them a positive change of the standings. 

In the other games played on Saturday. 23rd. September. 2023, Bul at the seventy seventh minute through Mweru, secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against KCCA Football Club at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru while at Wankulukuku, Express Football Club was held to a goalless draw by Mbarara City Football who are currently coached by thier former Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa.

In Wakiso at the Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium, the hosts Wakiso Giants Football Club played to a 1 all draw against Bright Stars Football Club. Both teams were picking thier first point of the season having lost their season opening fixtures. Goals were scored by Omony Kaka 34' for Bright Stars FC and Ssenfuka at 77' for Wakiso Giants FC 

And in the final game of match day 2 played on Sunday. 24th. September. 2023, Maroons Football Club's thrilling spectacle against Sports Club Villa ended with each side scoring a goal each at the Uganda Prisons Play Ground, Luzira.
