Four goals in the first half and four other goals in the second set Vipers Sports Club on their way as they ripped apart a woeful BUL Football Club to lift the 2020 / 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup on Sunday. 26th. September.2021 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The performance and the eventual 8-1 win was a ruthlessness and attacking power that left BUL FC vulnerable.

Forwards Yunus Sentamu and Cesar Manzoki scored four goals and two goals respectively as Vipers SC ran riot to clinch their second Uganda Cup, the second time in their history in five final outings.

The other goals came from Milton Karisa and Living Mulundo while the only goal for BUL FC was scored by Hamis Tibita.

Vipers SC scored the opener after just 3 minutes through Mulondo but before that, Vipers SC had a disallowed goal by Karisa who was called to be offside.

Mulondo headed home with a powerful header off a Bobosi Byaruhanga cross before Sentamu added the second in the 27th minute; finishing off a well delivered Paul Willa cross from the right in the 25th minute.

From then on, the home side took complete control - aided by a defensive horror show by BUL FC that saw them suffer a final nightmare.

10 minutes later, Manzoki made it 3-0 after tapping home a well work pass inside the area from Karisa and two minutes later in the 37th minute Manzoki was celebrating his brace after receiving a long pass that he slotted home to take the score to 4-0 in favour of the 2016 Uganda Cup winners.

After the break, the onslaught continued when Sentamu scored his second goal and the fifth team goal in the 48th minute before he went on to complete his hat-trick in the 55th minute and finally slammed his fourth in the 67th minute.

However before Sentamu’s fourth personal goal, Karisa who was one of the key orchestrators of this attacking Vipers SC master class got his name on the score sheet smashing Vipers SC’s 7th in the 65th minute when his free kick took deflection off the BUL FC wall to beat Shanon Mulabi in goal.

With 17th minutes to play, BUL FC pulled one back through Hamis Tibita from outside the area and thus the final score of 8-1.

BUL had limitations on the bench and thus made only two substitutions with Tibita Hamis coming on for Allan Kigundu and the injured goal keeper Shanon Mulabi giving way for Ibrahim Mugulusi.

However their opponents exercised their richness in squad depth and presence on the bench with 5 substitutions.

Injured Fabien Mutomora gave way for Denis Kigundu in goal; David Bagoole was pulled off and replaced by Karim watambala; Paul Mucureezi came on for four- goal hero Sentamu; Karisa gave way for Ibrahim Orit and finally Manzoki was replaced by Dan Sserunkuma.

It was a classic performance from Vipers SC forward Yunus Sentamu who became the first player to score four goals in the final in the history of the Uganda Cup.

Vipers SC’s 8-1 win over BUL FC is now the biggest Victory in the history of the Uganda Cup.
