Vipers Sports Club have appointed Alex Isabirye as their new Head Coach.

The former BUL Football Club tactican joins the Venoms as the replacement for sacked Beto Bianchi Pellister who parted ways with the club after only 58 days.

Beto Bianchi had replaced Roberto Oliveira who had earlier on moved on for greener pastures at Simba Sports Club.

Isabirye comes in as Vipers' third Head Coach this season alone and he will be assisted by the same back room staff of Richard Wasswa, Ibrahim Mugisha and Kato Ibrahim.

“I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of,” said Isabirye as quoted by the club website, www.viperssc.co.ug.

The details Isabirye’s contract have not been revealed but going by the trend of events at the club, he might be in only to calm the storm untill the end of the season.

Isabirye's first assignment will be in the STANBIC UGANDA CUP as the Venoms will be facing off Wakiso Giants Football Club on Tuesday. 14th. March. 2023 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.

In the Star Times Uganda Premier League, he has the task of defending the title.
Currently, Vipers are fourth on the league logo with 28 points, seven behind leaders KCCA Football Club; but with a game in hand.

Isabirye will also try to redeem the team's pride in the CAF Champions League where they have picked only 1 point from their four games in Group C, with two games to play.

Isabirye is a previous league winner with URA Football Club. He also won the Uganda Cup with Victoria University Football Club and BUL FC.

He has managed teams including Kyetume Football Club, Soana Football Club, Busoga United Football Club and Horseed Football Club of Somalia.
