UPL MATCH DAY 1. NEW ENTRANTS - KITARA AND NEC FC SHINE ON LEAGUE OPENERS.

Startimes Uganda Premier league kicked off  on  15th sept 2023 at different venues in the country. 

It was an all-away teams' victories as all the visiting teams showed triumph at the final whistle except for URA FC

Nec FC through Joseph Dhata's strike in the 51th minute was the only difference at Kakyeka against Mbarara City FC.

Two halftime goals for Kitara FC's (Omedi) and SC Villa's (lwanga) before an own goal from Ngonde Elvis gave the visitors maximum points.

Tezikya's only goal was the breadwinner for Bul FC at Kavumba as they beat Bright Starts FC. 

In Jinja, Milton Karisa and Salem Mohammed strikes put SC Vipers in the driving seat before Muhindo's conversion from the spot got a consolation for the  Gaddafi FC the hosts. 

Mweru's fifteenth minute goal was all that was the difference as Busoga United beat Arua Hill SC away from home. 

Ojok and Tusubira were the only ones on the score list to secure all the 3points for the visiting Maroons FC against Wakiso Gaints in Wakiso as UPDF FC settled for a goalless draw against URA FC in Bombo. 

The KCCA FC - Express FC game was postponed due to the Caf fixture KCCA had on the same date.
