The Pentagon Post Primary Tournament returns with a more widely attendance after a revamp following a three – year absence due to COVID 19.

The tournament that launched in 2017 featuring schools from Gombe Division, Wakiso District in the games of Football and Netball is slated to run on Friday. 16th. and Saturday. 17th. June. 2023 after a forced three- year break.

The objective of this Gombe Division tournament is to give a platform for exposure as well as nurture the talents of athletes whose schools can't complete favorably at district level in the national schools post primary games.

This would have been the 7th edition if it wasn't for Covid 19 to force the country into a total lockdown that also hindered the running of any sports activity.

This year's edition will be graced by St. John Senior Secondary School, Matugga, Revival Grammar School, Matugga Hill SSS, Matugga Wisdom SS, Iqra High Secondary School, World Ahead Secondary School, Imperial High School, City Land College, St. Mary’s Migadde, Bulamu Secondary School and Springfeild High School.

The winning teams and best individual performers will be presented with medals, trophies and many other gifts including a goat for the overall winners and a set of jerseys to the 1st runners up.

On top of the awards will be certificate participation to the schools.

Last’s year edition attracted eight schools however this particular edition featured only netball; with Bristol High School being crowned as the eventual champions.
