Motorsport drivers will soon be back on the track in the continuation of the 2020 season whose progress was interrupted by the outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic after only two events; the Mbarara and Jinja rallies.

By that time, Fred Kitaka was leading the race for the national championship but Arthur Blick Jr. says that the championship is still open and he will be out to challenge Kitaka as they prepare to get back on the track to start the 2021 calendar which will be a continuation of the 2020 season.

From the Mbarara and Jinja rallies, Blick scored 60 points and believes he is capable of winning the remaining five events starting with the Southern Motor Rally which is scheduled to take place next month in Masaka.

“It is too early to give up on the title because we have the starting points. We are in 7th position with 60 points and we just need to be consistent. Our target is to finish in top positions in all the remaining events,” Blick noted.

“We have worked on our Evo10 and it is ready to go. We are also ready starting with the Southern Motor Rally in Masaka,” Blick said.

Fred Kitaka and his navigator Joseph Bongole in a Subaru N10 lead the championship with 130 points after scoring 80 points and 50 points in the Mbarara and Jinja rallies respectively.
