Express Football Club Forward Martin Kizza says his team-mates should emulate their first leg 2-1 win over Al Merrikh in the preliminary round first leg at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Friday. 10th. September. 2021 if they are to finish off their qualification business to the next stage.

Kizza says the team should not get carried away following their good win over and taking a huge step towards the second and last qualification stage of the CAF Champions League.

Two goals from Kizza and Erick Kambale means that Express FC go in to the second leg with an advantage, however, the Sudanese managed to score a goal and that has not escaped the forward’s mind who has called on his teammates to remain focused.

Speaking to the club website www.expressfc.co.ug after the game, Kizza said he was happy and so proud of the result, the supporters and his teammates but conceded that the return leg game will be a high mountain to climb in Sudan.

“I am grateful to everyone for coming to support us and the majority who have remained home due to covid-19 restrictions,” said Kizza .

“We’ve had taken a while before playing in the champions league but today we gave our all, the boys did their best and i know we’re going back to correct our mistakes and finish the job in Khartoum,” Kizza added.

The return leg will be played on September. 17th. in Khartoum.
