The Uganda Cranes will be back in action on Thursday. 9th. December. 2021 in an international engagement against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania.

The game that slated to be staged at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam will be part of the many lined up events to commemorate  Tanzania at 60 years of Independence.

To get prepared for the game, Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned up to 18 players, locally based who will make it for the game on Thursday.

Micho was happy for the invitation and said that the game will aid his preparations for the 2022 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) Qualifiers by giving more players a chance to exhibit what they can offer for the national team.

“We have started preparations for the qualification campaign of CHAN 2022 in Algeria. This gives us the opportunity to widen the pool of players," Micho said.

The Coach was also thankful to the clubs for granting permission to their  players to train with the Cranes despite the development coming in during the time for the league and on short notice.

The summoned players:

Goalkeepers: Joel Mutakubwa (ExpressFC), Jack Komakech (Vipers SC)

Defenders: James Begisa (UPDF FC), Ibrahim Juma (KCCA FC), Najib Fesali (URA FC), Joseph Bright Vuni (Arua Hill SC), Farouk Katongole (URA FC)

Midfielders: George Kasonko (BUL FC), John Byamukama (Express FC), Joseph Akandwanaho (Express FC), Travis Mutyaba (SC Villa), Steven Munguchi (Gaddafi FC), Frank Ssenyondo (Wakiso Giants FC), Frank Mulimi (Gaddafi FC)

Forwards: Ivan Asaba (Vipers SC), Alfred Leku (Arua Hill), Samuel Ssenyonjo (KCCA FC), Patrick Kaddu (Unattached)
