Crested Cranes Head Coach George Lutalo, has named the final squad that will be traveling to Ethiopia for the return leg of the second round of 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

The Crested Cranes will face Ethiopia on Tuesday. 24th. October. 2021 and go into this fixture with a 2- 0 first leg advantage which the earned at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende with goals from Riticia Nabbosa and Fauzia Najjemba.

The good news is that goal hero Nabbosa who picked an injury in the first leg is up again in good shape and will take over her number in mid field. Nabbosa opened the scoring against Ethiopia in Kitende.

The winner on aggregate between Uganda and Ethiopia will face Kenya who eliminated South Sudan 15-1 over two legs.

The team has goalkeepers Ruth Aturo (Captain), Daisy Nakaziro and Daphine Nyayenga.

In defence, Lutalo will be looking at Sumaya Komuntale, Asia Nakibuuka, Shadia Nankya, Viola Namuddu and Pheobe Banura; while Nabbosa , Sheebah Zalwango, Shamirah Nalugya, Joan Nabirye and Rhoda Nanziri  will compete for places in the mid of the park.

The mantle to look for the goals that will eventually see the Crested Cranes through to the next round will be shared amongst; Juliet Nalukenge, Magret Kunihira, Hasifah Nassuna, Sandra Nabweteme, Fauzia Najjemba, Sharon Naddunga and Laki Otandeka Kanyesigye.
